Beachport has a vast array of water activities, from fishing, surfing, swimming, snorkelling, SUP, Kayaking, windsurfing... 

Beachport fishing

Fishing

Try one of the many areas around Beachport to get a feed of fish. Either Jetty, beach, rock/reef or boat fishing.

Boat Ramp Permits can be obtained from the Visitors Info Centre or Jarmo's Petrol Station. Tips are in our local Beachport & Southend FISHING GUIDE

Why not try your luck at the annual Lions Club Salmon Fishing Competition held over the school holidays in July. Great prizes to be won!

If you have no luck catching a feed, the Lobster Pot will have you covered.

Surfing

The Beachport Surf Beach is excellent for surfing, swimming or boogie boarding. A large parking area, toilets and cold shower are provided.

 

Flow State Surf School are here to help all ages learn skills and build confidence in the water. Group and Private lessons are available along with programs such as Women in Waves, Woolworths SurfGroms and an after school program.

Memorial Lookout located at the Beachport Surf Beach, is dedicated to the memory of two service men killed dismantling a mine during World War Two. The lookout provides panoramic views across Rivoli Bay and Lake George.

Beachport Windsurfing

Wind Surfing & Sailing

Experience windsurfing or sailing either at Lake George or the Beachport Surf Beach as you enter town. This spot is good for wave sailing when there is a swell. Summer conditions are best.

WINDHOUNDS have extensive knowledge of the area with photos and videos to get a good idea of what to expect when visiting. Check them out!

Beachport Sea Urchins

If you love to swim in the ocean any time of year, then why not swim with the Sea Urchins. 7:30am every day hail or shine this lovely group of men (sea slugs) and women (urchins) meet at the Foreshore Rotunda and swim at their own pace out along the jetty. All are welcome.

Get active at the lagoon. Tennis courts, Skate park, bike track, basketball, oval, and playground. A great BBQ area or families to gather and enjoy the lagoon. Keys for tennis courts at Rivoli Bay Deli.
